About the Culture Festival
The Culture Festival operates under the mission of "Cultural Inheritance, Artistic Integration, Community Celebration," dedicated to building a platform for showcasing excellent traditional Chinese culture and promoting communication and understanding among diverse communities. The Festival is not only for the local Chinese community but is open to residents of all cultural backgrounds, presenting the profound heritage of Chinese culture through diverse art forms.

I. Promoting Traditional Chinese Culture

Chinese culture has a history spanning thousands of years, covering vast areas such as music, dance, opera, calligraphy and painting, and clothing. This year's Culture Festival comprehensively presents the charm of traditional culture through diverse content like art exhibitions, literary and artistic performances, calligraphy and painting displays, and a Hanfu show.

The Hanfu Show, *Millennium Regalia*, specially showcases the aesthetic system of traditional Chinese clothing, allowing the audience to directly experience the spiritual embodiment of Chinese etiquette culture through the beauty of the garments and the significance of the rituals.

II. Fostering Multicultural Exchange

As a multicultural city, Ottawa's Culture Festival invites art groups from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds to participate. Programs such as the Hanfu Show, Chinese dance, and folk music collectively serve as a window for multicultural exchange, enabling audiences from different communities to experience the beauty of cross-cultural appreciation through art, enhancing understanding and friendship.

III. Encouraging Community Interaction and Cohesion

The Culture Festival collaborates with schools, art institutions, community organizations, art troupes, and volunteers to jointly prepare and participate in the activities, strengthening community cohesion. The Hanfu Show not only inspires participation from students, families, and traditional culture enthusiasts but also connects community members more closely through a shared cultural event as a bond.

IV. Supporting Youth Arts Education and Cultural Identity

This year's Culture Festival specifically includes a youth arts exhibition and performance, featuring a zodiac painting competition, student dramas, music performances, and a Hanfu culture display. Through personal involvement—whether on stage or behind the scenes—young people can strengthen their cultural identity, artistic literacy, and expressive abilities, gaining confidence and growth while experiencing the beauty of tradition.

V. Enhancing the Influence of Chinese Culture in Canada

The Culture Festival provides a window for mainstream society to understand Chinese culture, allowing the audience to fully experience Chinese culture from multiple perspectives such as music, clothing, opera, and dance. The Hanfu Show, as one of this year's highlights, helps showcase the artistic value of Chinese clothing culture and enables more Canadian residents to understand the Chinese community's contribution to cultural diversity.
